Splitted oak barrelwood
We offer high quality staves for cooperages and wineries to manufacture oak barrels.
FINE GRAIN OAK
We use Quercus robur and Quercus petrea ssp. coming from old and slow growth forests. These trees have tight grain structure wood, guaranteeing at least 4 annual rings per each cm.
SPLITTED BARRELWOOD
Logs are splitted into staves without using saw. Splitting along the natural fibres of the wood is very important because in this way the pores are not cut through. This process is necessary in to ensure the staves won’t leak.
HIGH QUALITY
We use only first quality oak: free from nodes, sapwood and any kind of wood diseases or imperfections.
 MOST COMMON DIMENSIONS
Lateral staves: 95 and 105 cm
Head staves: 45, 50, 55 and 60 cm
Width: 6 - 14 cm
Thickness: 31 mm
Proportion of lateral staves / head staves: about 80 / 20 volume %
